I grew up in West Texas (Midland of Nowhere), moved to Providence for college, and spent a semester abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I returned after college for a few months. I returned to Texas in 2012 with my husband Sam after a year of work and travel in New Zealand and Australia. We are now parents to two wild and crazy kids named Ivor, which rhymes with survivor, and Juno, as in the goddess, not the movie.
I studied illustration and printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design and I love to draw and make prints. I've been working as a (mostly) self taught graphic designer for over 10 years.
Recently I have been taking on more freelance design work. Before that, I taught Adobe InDesign and Photoshop at a community college while overseeing a publications and art lab. I also co-own a funky home furnishings shop that specializes in eclectic, vintage, industrial, upcycled and custom decor. You could say I like to stay busy.
If I had unlimited funds, I would go back to school and master jewelry making, sculpture, glass blowing, painting, textiles, & photography.
