Hello! I’m Kristen. I want to see as much of the world as possible, and I’m currently based in West Texas.
I studied illustration and printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design and I love to draw and make prints. I’ve been working as a (mostly) self taught graphic designer for over 10 years, with a focus in print design, marketing and branding.
Most recently I have been taking on more freelance design work. Before that, I taught Adobe InDesign and Photoshop at a community college while overseeing a publications and art lab. I also co-own a funky home furnishings shop that specializes in eclectic, vintage, industrial, upcycled and custom decor. You could say I like to stay busy.
I grew up in Midland, Texas, moved to Providence for college, and spent a semester abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I returned after college for a few months. In 2012, I returned to Texas with my husband Sam after a year of work and travel in New Zealand and Australia. We spend most of our time with our family, businesses, and projects these days.
I’m a hobbies and skills collector. If I could, I would go back to school and master jewelry making, sculpture, glass blowing, painting, textiles, & photography.
